QCTO

The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) is a Quality Council established in 2010 in terms of the Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998) as amended in 2008. The QCTO also offers guidance to skills development providers (private and public) and assessment centres who must be accredited by the QCTO in order to implement occupational qualifications.

The Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority (FP&M SETA) is mandated to enhance skills development within South Africa's fibre processing and manufacturing sectors. Established on April 1, 2011, the FP&M SETA serves 13 sub-sectors: clothing, footwear, forestry, furniture, general goods, leather, packaging, print media, printing, publishing, pulp and paper, textiles, and wood products.

W&R SETA

The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) is a public entity established under the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998, as amended. Its primary mandate is to facilitate skills development within South Africa's wholesale and retail sector. This involves implementing learning programs, disbursing grants, and monitoring education and training initiatives in alignment with the National Skills Development Plan (NSDP). WRSETA Key responsibilities of the W&RSETA include: Developing Sector Skills Plans (SSPs): These plans profile the sector, identify key skills drivers, address occupational shortages and skills gaps, and outline strategic skills priorities. SOUTH AFRICA GOVERNMENT Implementing Learning Programs: This encompasses facilitating learnerships, apprenticeships, internships, and other skills development programs tailored to the sector's needs. Disbursing Grants: Allocating funds to support employers and training providers in delivering effective skills development initiatives. Monitoring Education and Training: Ensuring that training programs meet quality standards and effectively address the sector's skills requirements. Through these efforts, the W&RSETA aims to enhance the skills base of the wholesale and retail sector, thereby contributing to economic growth and addressing challenges such as unemployment, inequality, and poverty in South Africa
